An arborist, by definition, is an individual trained in the art and science of planting, caring for, and maintaining individual trees. Arborists are knowledgeable about the needs of trees and are trained and equipped to provide proper care. Hiring an arborist is a decision that should not be taken lightly.

Often we do not think about pruning a trees in the winter. Our trees are the last thing on our minds. It is a cold time of year with short days and we spend less time in the yard. However winter can be the most advantageous time of year to a prune large shade trees and  an ornamental trees.

Many times a tree and landscape can be easily overlooked in the Atlanta winter months. The days become shorter and with the cooler temperatures, generally people don’t spend as much time in their landscapes. Conversely the dormant season can be an excellent time for tree prunning or tree trimming, whether it is a large deciduous tree, an evergreen tree, or an ornamental landscape planted tree.
